Waiting on Hold

Friday, November 30th, 2007

I called Amazon the other day to verify an order and was put on hold while being transferred to another department. Unlike other companies, she periodically came back to tell me that I would be transferred shortly.

Although I wasn’t in a particular hurry, like anyone else I don’t particuarly enjoy being put on hold. She was very nice and I was quickly transferred, rather than feeling like I had been left alone and waiting for a long period of time.

The only thing I would have liked better is to hear holiday specials through an on hold marketing message. I love finding new deals on Amazon, and I’m grateful their customer service is so great!

Technology in Your State

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

If you work with an attorney, mortage company, title company, bank or lender, or ever do business with the county, you should check to see how technologically advanced your county is. Government regulations have allowed counties to be more efficient and work faster than in the past by implementing new technology.

County filing through the internet is a safer alternative to submit legal documents to the county. It’s more secure, faster, easier, and less costly for submitters and the county that receives those documents. Check to see if your county is up to date on this new technology.

Trucking Jobs

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

If you want a change from the office, you should consider getting out on the open road. A career change to truck driving may be the perfect fix from an confined office environment.

Unlike false stereotypes from the past, the truck driving industry is accepting people from all over, regardless of gender, age, educational background, or physical stature. With advanced technology implemented in trucks these days, many more women and older people have become truckers.

Truckers make a hefty salary hauling long distances, particularly if they own their own truck. In fact, many truckers say they make more on the road than they could make working near home. With a shortage of drivers, many companies offer increased pay and benefits to new truckers.

Many trucking companies also offer health plans to keep truckers healthier on the road than their former days. With increased technology to increase idling and increase gas efficiency, truckers can eat, work exercise, and sleep comfortably in their trucks.

Most companies have many documents, contracts, and other work documents to manage. Amongst contast emails, revisions, and work saved on desktops and removable media, it can be difficult to keep track of every document.

With advanced technology, record management software was created to help companies easily keep track of documents. It can track documents through emails, opening, revisions, and saving. This helps companies keep track of where documents are stored, and in what stage they are in. Finding the most up-to-date document and keeping track of confidential information is now easier and less time-consuming for every business.
